Cyanotypes, transparency film, matte inkjet prints
X-RAYS examines fashion designer Talia Bourne's collection Layers of the Body through alternative photographic processes. Inspired by radiograms, these fashion photographs represent the garments' focus on the human body and its internal structures. The cyanotype process supports these motifs by creating a hue that mirrors the coloring systems in x-ray imaging and using transparencies to reflect the appearance of radiograms, the images produced by x-ray imaging.
